Instability in South Africa Downgrades Prospects

South Africa’s capital markets remain far better regulated and more liquid than others in Africa. But the continent’s largest economy is otherwise losing its competitive edge as a directionless government under President Jacob Zuma struggles to address industrial unrest, rising costs and growing social pressures.
