Walter Isaacson’s new book not only includes “the women that tech forgot”, but it also starts and ends with the story of Ada Lovelace who wrote the first computer algorithm and, according to Isaacson, “defined the digital age.” Her story, like that of so many other women, has been ignored in too many histories of the technology industry. Kudos to Walter Isaacson and his daughter, who raised Lovelace’s story to his attention.
