Difficult times in the Ukraine.  But women entrepreneurs are more important than ever.

Female-owned companies have a special place in transitioning economies.  They employ other women more frequently, which reduces the effect of discrimination against women in the labor market.  Employing women helps reduce the trafficking of women, a big problem in transitioning countries.
