35.7% of Saudi Women Unemployed

 The Saudi labour ministry said that unemployment among Saudi women in the private sector increased by 2.3% in 2012 to 358,000, Arab News reported. The rise was due to inaccessible transportation and the lack of daycare centres to take care of their children, said Amal Sheera, deputy chairperson of the Human Rights Committee at the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI).
